Community Affairs
We have had a great summer, beginning with Music in the Park, which took place the last Sunday of every month. Everyone who attended was able to enjoy an hour of fine music with friends and neighbors. Great job Marianne Sidwell!
A big THANKS to this year’s River Heights Royalty: Hope Francis, Erica Smith, and Katelyn Zilles. They have done an excellent job representing our city.
Apple Days was a great success this year! A special thanks goes to Jen Wolford and Lisa Syme for an outstanding job in organizing the event. Diane Weese and Dixie Wilson did a super job in organizing the parade, which had a record turn out! The raffle was a huge success. Thanks to the many businesses, families, and individuals who donated prizes for this activity. Once again, the Lions Club came through with flying colors on their remarkable dinner. Rob Gines did a great job announcing the day’s activities. The talent show was very entertaining; many thanks to all those who shared their talents. Thanks to all the citizens of River Heights City who volunteered their time and hard work to make Apple Days a fun and enjoyable day! —Council member Francine Davis
